There are many dissimilarities between city life and residing out in the country, on a farm for example. One major difference in the two lifestyles is that rural properties are larger than city lots. But, if you are there in the country, a farm tends to grace you with a lot of land to call your own. It is also so much quieter out in the wild.

A person who lives in a rural region can really take advantage of the extra outdoor space that they have by entertaining outside. The employment of a fire pit can absolutely make that outdoor space nice and warm. It would also allow you to enjoy outdoor entertaining throughout the year rather than just in the spring and summer months. If you are still in the city don’t despair: there are less substantial fire pits that you can use on a balcony or patio as well. However, living in a rural area with lots of space gives you the chance to custom build a large fire pit for the enjoyment of your family and friends. You could buy a ready made fire pit and just install it in your space, or you can design your own custom creation.

One bonus of living in a rural area is the extra closeness you feel with nature. Most families in rural settings tend to own a few dogs or cats running around on the farm, quite a common sight to see! Of the rural dwellers, those on a farm tend to possess a tighter family bond, strengthened by the closeness of working together. After a long, hard day working on the farm, you might see the family gathered together around the glow of a fire, dogs lying at their feet, relaxing to the soothing sounds all around them from nature’s symphony.

Your friends and extended family could love being invited over for a B.B.Q. or outdoor party. You could even want to invite their family pets so that they, too can enjoy all of your wide open space to run and play. When the sun starts falling into the horizon, bring the party over to the fire pit for music, story telling, and maybe some s’mores! Everyone can show off the gorgeous fruits and vegetables they have grown by bringing them to the party to share.

In the late fall and wintertime, outdoor farm work often slows down a bit and there is a greater amount of free time. You might certainly gather around the fire pit for similar fun and games during the cold month of December. Your dog won’t mind.
