Clever Animals

There are many clever animals in the world there is no doubt about that but what are the cleverest ones in the world and what makes them so clever. Here is a look at just some of these amazing creatures. A lot of people already know about the apes so I am not going to mention them.

Dogs

These animals are of course man’s best friend but are they that clever. Just because dogs are easy to train does this make them clever, after all there are many animals that can be trained out there. Being loyal takes brain power there is no doubt about that and they can understand human emotion in their masters and people close to them, they will comfort you.

Cephalopods

Octopi, squids and cuttlefish do not seem like the smartest of animals but they certainly have the brains for the job. The brains of these creatures take up most of the oesophagus and they share many of the things that a human brain consists of. When humans have left a tiny hole in the glass in which they have captured an Octopus in they have been known to squeeze out meaning they know what they are doing. They are very curious animals and are subject to a lot of boredom.

Dolphins

These are arguably the third cleverest animal in the world (1st humans and 2nd chimps) and they are very good at using tools and scientists have said they use distinct clicks and whistles that may actually serve as names. Once trained these animals are very friendly to humans and can perform amazing tricks and stunts. I was lucky enough to swim with of these amazing creatures so I know firsthand just how clever they are.
