Chicken Coops To Build In A Weekend

You can spend one weekend and construct chicken sheds for your pet chickents. This article will be a general chicken koop overview. There are a lot of people who are beginning to raise these birds as a way of providing protein for their family or as a method to supplying fresh eggs for their families. The better part of these animals is the undeniable fact that they need so very little effort to deliver them with their living needs , their nutritional wishes and their health wishes.

The first thing you have got to be involved with when you get these chickens for pets is their housing needs. There are many alternate ways to build chicken huts and runs, but the single thing you must keep under consideration is that inside the construction of the chickens sheds you need to supply the birds about a 2 ‘ area for each bird and outside in the yard piece of the poultry coops you want to give each of the birds 8 ‘ to 10 ‘ of personal space to move around in.

Before you begin to build up your chichen coops make sure the place you have chosen to erect it doesn't get standing water every time it rains. All Chickents do not do well if they should stand in water and you will introduce illness to your birds if you make them. Pick a spot in your yard that's high enough to allow the water to empty off quickly after a rain.

Next you want to pace off the exact measurementsof the pen and place a corner post at every corner. You will want to dig a hole for the post and cement the post in the ground so they stand erect and can absorb the pressure of the wire pulling against them.

Dig a ditch between the posts because when you place the wire on the po st you'll need to place some of the wire in the ground to prevent predators from having a straightforward time getting to your chickens. Chickens will also scratch close to the fence because they are trying to get to the green things they see on the opposite side so they can dig a way out if you don't place part of the wire in the ground.

While you are waiting for the concrete to set it's easy to get in one corner of the enclosure and erect a tiny structure that has a roof and at least 2 sides to dam the wind from the north and blowing rains from the west. Within this structure you will want to place roosting poles for the birds to sleep on.

After the concrete round the four corner posts has had an adequate period of time to toughen you can begin to stretch the wire between the posts. The wire needs tobegin at one post and wrap round the next post so you can pull any wrinkles that are in it out.

On top of theground you'll either need to place wire fencing or clip the wings of the birds so they can not fly out of the pen.

I am Ernie Jones and I have been raising chickens and building my coops for some considerable time. I am no pro carpenter but have build many great coops. I'd like to give my experience I have on chicken huts and to offer you some concepts on designs for chicken coops.
